Peace Fighters Carl Emery (Swiss) and Billy Murray (N,Irish) had final talks (Monday 13th September) in Belfast ahead of their kickboxing demonstration next week on the Day of Peace at the UN HQ Geneva. The International Day of Peace which occurs annually on September 21. It is dedicated to peace, or specifically the absence of war, such as might be occasioned by a temporary ceasefire in a combat zone. It is observed by many nations, political groups, military groups, and people over the world. The first year this holiday was celebrated was 1981.

The guest list for the launch of 'The Peace Fighters' in Geneva (April 17) was more than impressive with a dizzying array of diplomats, senior politicians and international press. The Director of UNICEF, Irish Ambassador, British Ambassador, current and past British consul generals – and topping that the initiative received a personal message from the President of Ireland Mary McAleese.
